The County has received funding from England Squash which can be allocated to individual clubs.   The funding is up to £200 per club and is to be used to increase participation in squash, for example, a schools’ programme, Squash 101 57 coaching session, a have-a-go day, Squash Girls Can session, etc.

The stipulations for receiving this money:

1.      Sessions are run by a qualified England Squash coach. Please note that junior or schools 101 courses must be run by a level 2 England squash coach. Adult 101/Squash 57 and Squash Girls Can, maybe run by anybody with a 101 leaders course or level 1 England Squash coach.

2.      There must be a recording process, ie. all participants to be logged on to the England Squash App

To access this money, complete the grant application form on the DCSRA web site, for consideration by the Committee.   Applicants who run adult courses will be more likely to receive the full funding than those who just run schools’ and junior sessions.

The funding is to be used for things like: coaches, hire of facilities, equipment, advertising and any other costs associated with these sessions.

The table below shows the current participation levels of clubs across the County and this is what England Squash are trying to improve with this grant money.

Not all clubs are using the ES App for recording their participation of Junior 101, Squash 101 and Squash Girls Can sessions and we need to address this as future funding is dependent on this data

If you would like any more details or assistance please contact David Geldart or any Committee Member.

Please note there are limited funds available so all applications may not be accepted this time around
